Seger's first new album in 11 years, titled Face the Promise, was released on September 12, 2006. In its first 45 days, the album sold more than 400,000 copies, according to Soundscan. His supporting tour has also been eagerly anticipated, with many shows selling out within minutes.
Seger is selling out concerts in record time. On Oct 7 he sold out two Van Andel Arena concerts in a total of 15 minutes. The first concert sold out in 4 minutes. One of those concerts had been added only minutes before the sale! That's around 25,000 tickets in 15 minutes.
